Do you remember what it was like to be a kid? To jump, swim, play, and have fun being active, and not think about anything else. I consider myself to be in pretty good shape, but I can't move with the same ease and flexibility as I could when I was a kid. I decided to make play time part of my fitness routine. It's too easy to get sucked into our daily chores and responsibilities. Cooking, cleaning, working, training, driving kids around, homework, dishes, laundry...the list goes on. This past week I tried to get down with my kids and really play. We jumped on the trampoline, swam in the pool, (and yes I even got my hair wet), and did yoga on the floor while being accosted by puppy kisses. My kids, and dogs, were so excited. They really appreciated the time we spent together and it didn't cost a thing. Not only were we all happy, and creating new memories, but it is a great way to keep moving and burn some extra calories without having to be in the gym. Don't forget to add fun into your day!
